Overview
Lawrence is an interactive narrative app from It’s On You Entertainment, featuring actor Ashley Chin and written by Warner Bros. writer Jayson Rothwell. The story follows Lawrence as he navigates the pull between personal ambition and street life, with seven different endings determined by the player’s choices. I led the visual design and overall look and feel of the app to support the narrative-driven experience.
Challenge
The challenge was to create a visual identity and interface that complemented the emotional weight of the story while remaining intuitive and immersive for users. The app needed to support branching narratives without overwhelming the player, while maintaining cinematic quality and consistency across the experience.
Approach
We developed the visual language of the app, defining typography, colour, and interface elements that reinforced the tone of the story. Close collaboration with the production team ensured the design aligned with the script and performances, while UX considerations focused on clarity, pacing, and seamless decision-making moments throughout the narrative.

Outcome
Lawrence gained significant exposure across national and local news platforms and has since received critical recognition, winning an award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. The app demonstrates how strong visual design and UX can elevate interactive storytelling and create meaningful audience engagement.
